Built on a strong foundation

It was then known as the Community Players. In the 1920s the group took the name Proctor Players Club and for a considerable length of time was responsible for much of the comedy, drama, and children's theatre that was seen in the Rutland area. In the early 1970s the group became Marble Valley Players to better reflect its county-wide membership.

Our Mission

Marble Valley Players (MVP) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing community access to all aspects of quality theater. In pursuit of this mission, we endeavor to weave together the strands of Entertainment, Community, and Education.

Entertainment

MVP provides opportunities for diverse, year round, quality entertainment for the local community.

Education

MVP actively promotes the arts in the region by providing theater workshops, internships, mentoring, and by encouraging participation in regional and state drama festivals.

Community

MVP contributes technical advice and assistance to and shares costumes and props with other theatrical groups and educational institutions.
